　　In 2002, Beijing suburbs reinforced policy instruction and supporting strength to tourism. Aiming at problems in tourism, Beijing suburbs promoted facility construction and intensified management. Tourism’s grade and service level were both improved obviously. 21% scenic spots were granted the title of“Capital Civilized Scenic Spot”; a good tourism figure was established. The construction speed of important scenic spots was accelerated. On the great background of preparation for the Olympic Games, all the counties developed and integrated tourism resource, developed tourism economy and vacation economy. The new items of ecological tourism, forest tourism, sightseeing tourism and folk-custom tourism were presented continually, and tourism’s attraction was promoted steadily. In some area, tourism has been the leading industry. In 2002, the tourism income of 10 far districts and counties reached 4.97 billion Yuan, increasing 38% than that of last year.

　　In 2002,capital sightseeing agriculture developed steadily, its content got more abundant. The special leisure functions including sightseeing, vacation, experience, education, made sightseeing agriculture get more and more welcome. The newly increased sightseeing agriculture item reached 558; newly increased investment reached 1.09 billion, the tourist amount reached 36.18 million Yuan. The direct income from ticket, fruit picking, fishing reached 2.28 billion Yuan, respectively increasing 26.7% and 32.6% than that of last year.

　　In 2002, the construction of Beijing agriculture comprehensive information platform got great development. 18 databases and about 1000 ASP programs had been finished. 100 thousand information had been released. Visit amount of the website reached 120 thousand, was 20 times than the amount before the reform of the website. A column of“Beijing modern agriculture”was put on a conspicuous place on the homepage of“Beijing Windows”. Beijing suburbs strengthened agriculture information construction; used modern information technology to provide service for township enterprises and farmers. We organized“Beijing suburbs excellent agriculture products exhibition of 2002”, started investigating and releasing international agriculture market information. Beijing was the first province to finish the projection of“agriculture market information entering farmers’families”. This projection promoted the income increase of township enterprises and farmers.

In 2002, the increased production value of the third industry reached 32.4 billion Yuan, increasing 17.8% than that of 2001; occupying 46.3% of total GPD, contribution rate to suburbs economy reached 60%. The amount of farmers who were employed by the third industry enterprises reached 528,000, increased 28 thousand than that of 2001. Rapidly developed the third industry played an important role in Beijing suburbs’social and economical progress.

　　In 2002, in order to expanding agriculture product exchange channels, promoting the construction of modern standardization markets, Beijing suburbs strengthened agriculture product transportation construction and got obvious achievement. The amount of new agriculture product transportation enterprises reached 260. These agriculture products included meat, eggs, vegetables, milk and flowers and processed agriculture products. The transportation destinations covered markets, supermarkets, government departments, hotels, restaurants, and communities. Among these transportation enterprises, more than 50% enterprises directly cooperated with supermarkets in the city zone, total transportation value reached 1 billion Yuan. Township enterprises and Wumei Group. Founded“Beijing Green Safe Agriculture Product Transportation Information Center”and its information platform, provided transportation information service for enterprises and farmers.
